Wiring Harness Battle Over

I found out the Honda 1300 ST has too much high tech for Honda mechanics. The Japanese have left our mechanics behind. Motion Cycle in Rosepine, Louisiana charged me $159.17 on 6-12-14 for a knock sensor which didn't work. They charged me $63.00 plus tax on 6-26-14 for a diagnostic test and a free replacement of a new knock sensor which they refunded when the FI (fuel injection or fault indicator) light came on again. Took the ST to Loewer Powersports in Alexandria, Louisiana and they charged me $1,448.93 on 8-13-14 for a wiring harness and the FI light came on again. They then put in a modular that cost $1,098.56 plus $180.00 labor which they did not charge me. I ended up losing $170.37 at Loewer Powersports and $159.17 at Motion Cycle for a total loss of $329.54. The battle that started on 6-17-14 ended on 8-30-14.

Bet it was a code 26, which is the knock sensor code .

Most here have traced thatt problem to a bad computer .

A few have found a bad wire at the sensor .

The "blink code" was #6. What does that mean?
V8-7 is probably right in his assumption that your error code was most likely 26 since there is no error code 6. The service manual shows no codes between 2 and 7.
