Looking at new communicators. The Chinese FDC01 BT functionality was good in that it would pair with my i-phone and another rider. I would like to find a unit that will add GPS and extra riders on at the same time. Siri compatibility would be good also. Does one exist?

Sena SMH10-11 is looking pretty good so far but will it connect to rider intercom, gps and i-phone at the same time?

Pulled the trigger on Sena SMH10R dual pack. Seems to have the best features and boom mic will work well with our modular helmets. No wires to unplug for charging and slim profile. Looks like it will do GPS, i-phone and intercom all together. I'll update next week after install if anyone is interested.

So, how did the Sena work for you as far as using Bluetooth for the GPS and iPhone? I'm in the market for the same thing, although I don't care if I can connect to another rider or pillion.

I have had my Sena 10 for over a year. Great bluetooth and works well with gps and other rider's Senas.
I dont like VOX because it turns on automatically due to the wind.

Dialing phone using your voice isn't so good but that is not a big issue for me because I don't use my phone while riding.

It works fantastic when communicating with a passenger.

The Sena is working great. Battery life is double the old set around 10+ hours. Blue tooth works great. My garmin Nuvi 760 doesn't play well but that's a garmin problem/feature. Love how quick the Sena turns on an off and synchs. It will synch with some other intercoms as well. I'm very happy with my choice.

Recently bought the Sena 5 w/FM for roughly half the Sena 10. Main use is for pillion/rider intercom and it performed superbly on our last trip. Sena quotes 7 hour talk time and from ON to shut down was 7.5 hrs constant on and in use.

My Sena 5 changes in how it syncs to my phone and GPS , depending on the order I turn them on .

Not a problem , I just need to remember to turn them on in the proper order, or I have to turn them off, then back on to get the sync.

I'm guessing you have to turn on the gps first and phone second? If you go into the Bluetooth profile for your headset on the phone and turn off media audio it will let the gps have that slot.

This is the same unit I've been looking at to replace my old Scala Rider Q2. I don't ride with pillion and usually ride alone so really don't need those channels but I do want FM and BT to my phone and my bike... My bike comes from factory to connect via USB to music device or BT to a newer compatible device like iPhone or BT music device or streaming audio from GPS and then also can BT to a compatible headset. Devices must be A2DP and headset must be newer version BT. My Scala is older BT so won't connect.
