Hi
Im overhauling my 2000 st1100 due to a shot piston ring.
2 and a half months after I ordered my parts, they finally arrive.
Sorting through my equipment and cant for the life of me remember where these Screws and brackets came from

There are 4 brackets all together and 8 screws.

finding a needle in a haystack.

It would be a big help if anyone has a clue?

cheers

If you fully assemble and tighten the carb bodies together before you try to get those snorkel brackets on, you will never do it. Leave the carbs loose in relation to each other and those things will reassemble much easier. BTDT.

Big thank you ST1100Y, John OoSTteruis and Bush for such quick replies to my thread. really appreciate it.
I only joined this forum yesterday with little hope of getting any help.
boy was I wrong.

feeling embarrassed about my one line introduction now. Will have to go and expand a bit more.

Worked through the night getting the engine back together.
Crank case assembled with new bearing and piston rings, cylinder head also installed. Had trouble with one of the valves sticking but got that sorted now.
now taking a break before tackling camshafts and timing belt.

Will post Pictures when I get time.

thanks again to everyone.

cheers

you will also be amazed at how well you know your engine/bike's parts now that you've been that far into it. This site is a wealth of knowledge on the ST1100. Good luck with the rest of the reassembly.

Not shared knowledge is wasted knowledge...

And how much the respect for that incredible machine will increase ;-)
No more neglect like delaying an oil-change or whacking the throttle before its properly warmed up...
