I know where there's a set from a 14' ES just waiting to be trued and powder coated.........my buddy hit a pavement edge when we we riding in August, front and rear flat spotted. After the 1800 dollar settlement and repair they are hanging in his garage like expensive jewelry. Ouch

I dunno when ... if ... or why... ;-)

Interesting wheel 'Dip' ... what color you thinking?

Silver of course. I heard that the late model Gen IIs silver wheels will fit my 2014 Gen III. Might look into trading with someone if and when I can verify what I heard.

Mine was 14,500, the extended warranty was 600, taking me to 15,100. Alabama taxes included, and doc fees. The warranty is 6 years unlimited miles added to the 1 yr factory, giving me 7 yrs unlimited miles. It is apparent the Yamaha people listen to the guys that ride the bike so I suggest skip a year of new hardware and boost the warranty to 3 yrs unlimited. The warranty is the only weak spot. The bike has proven it is worthy of such a warranty.

I can't stay off this bike.

The prices on these new FJRs, with all their improvements and inflation, is less than what I recall was a good deal 10 years ago for a Honda ST1300.
Exactly right. The price I recently paid on a new 2013 FJR13A was $950 less than the price I paid on a 2005 ST13.?? Lacking current design and engineering, the ST13 MSRP should be $13,999 to $14,499 to even be considered as a viable option in today's sport-touring segment.

Silver really shows the dirt and brake pad dust. I had silver wheels on my Kawasaki C10 and they never looked clean. The black wheels I changed to when I converted to 17" and the black wheels on my 2014 FJR always look the same, clean or dirty.

That maybe so but, black wheels just look unfinished. Each to his own, Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
