When I broke down 6-7 years ago 150 miles from home, shop put in a cheapo battery to get me home. It's sat since then, unused and won't hold a charge overnight now.Only see 9.7ishV after an overnight rest..
So what's are best current options for our ole girls now.Always had good luck with Yuasa's in the past, don't mind spending a few bucks more for a batt that will last at least 4-5 years or more, which is what I got out of the YU's in the past.

+1 on Yuasa
My previous one last 5 years and the OEM YUASA I installed this spring hopefully will last another 5. Never had to put a battery tender or charger on it yet. I ride daily.
Also I have a battery bug, so I can see how much life is left in the battery. 70% life left in it the last time I looked.
My previous battery went down to 16%, so it was a good sign to replace it.
Check eBay as there may be a few left on there. They stopped building battery bugs due to a patent infraction.

Huh?

Hoping you mean because you have two bikes.

Unless they come dry (unfilled) a flooded cell battery is not something you can stock-pile.
An AGM or gell, any ST battery completely sealed, will age.

Damn, you should of let me know, now it want 2. ;)
I've got 2 Orange TPMS's and only one bike.:D
Once the one on my bike stops working, I'll slap on the one in the cupboard on. The batteries in it might be deader than a Hostess Twinkie thou.

Good luck with the new battery, 6 or 7 years on any battery and you are on borrowed time.
I just replaced the Guzzi's original battery,12 years old.Could have probably gone another season or two,but was slow to spin the starter the last season or so.Believe a well-cared for and oft-ridden or on a maintenance charger a quality battery should last many years.I've proven that on multiple branded bikes and batteries for 20 years.Low quality batteries and lack of maintenance will kill them quick,
