When riding very slow, there is a small wobble in the front steering, front tyre Bridgestone with about 2,000 miles of ware, had a new back tyre fitted 250 miles ago, then it seamed to happen, thinking could be front wheel bearings, bike had done 40,000 miles, any body got any of the same problems
Many thanks
Andy

I would think it is more the tire then the bearings. You should check the balance and air pressure in the tires, make sure your suspension is setup right with the right pre-load before digging into the bearings.

Heard it before from several mechanics and experienced it in real life myself...

Feelings felt in one end of the bike are generally tied to an issue at the other end.

More info please. Does it wobble while slowing down from about 45 to 25 mph - under deceleration? With your hands on and off the bar grips?

More info needed...
A small wiggle when you just start taking off could be several things...
I would start by checking the rear flange and wheel bearings and o rings.
Test the SMC to see if it is grabbing or not working.
Check your preload adj to see if its empty or adj incorrectly
Are the bags overloaded or uneven? Topbox overloaded?
Steering head bearings loose or damaged.
Check the clips and rear brake sliding pins to see if the are binding and grabbing etc.
Let us know what you find.

Igofar, top box and side pans, empty, had the rear tyre refitted, when they changed the tyre the valve was leaking,so they had to put the wheel back in,will ring the garage in the morning, will have a look at the rear bribe and flange, the brakes are all running free and clean, the wobble seams to be more when setting off,
thanks

I just replaced a couple sets of front wheel bearings this week...both times the owners said the bike had a slight wiggle when taking off.
Check ALL your wheel bearings to exclude them first.

I had that a few years ago shortly after mounting a new BT020 on the rear. I switched tire brands after that set though so don't know if there's any correlation but I have not had the wiggle since.

Yoda...that video is a hoot. I'm not sure how many stones I am, apparently enough to keep the weave at bay lol

On the autobahns through Germany this year I could not go above 115mph without the ST1300 going into quite a violent weave/wobble. Easing off to 110mph was OK though. The top box was stuffed full, and the panniers were so heavily loaded I broke sweat easing them closed!. Not saying we over-packed or anything, but....
This was riding solo with a 16 stone rider.

That sounds more like a high speed wobble. Must be nice to ride that fast legally!! :D

If you pack a duffle bag and throw it between the rider and the back box it will negate the weave and let you pick up the pace.
