I have just replaced my water pump seal and impeller. The job went well. No leaks or problems. My question has to do with the water pump drive chain. Mine seems to have quite a lot of slack in it. I have been unable to find any information pertaining to how much slack is normal.
I know that many of you have also replaced your water pump seal. Can anyone tell me if these chains normally have a bit of slack in them? Has anyone had to replace one? My bike is a 2004 model 1300
with 80,000 miles on it. I am hoping they are all like this since I've already put the bike back together.
