The rear and near side front brakes have started binding to the point of stopping the bike, I have even tried a short ride without touching the brakes, rolled to to a stop and checked the discs. The rear and near side discs are hot the off side front cold. Anybody have any ideas?

Sounds like your pucks are not retracting. This can happen if the pucks get pushed in without first cleaning them. Some of the grime gets past the outer most rubber ring, expanding it. They then loose the ability to return to the shape they were prior to applying the brake. When this happens, the pads are advanced, but not retracted, leaving the pad in contact.
