Rear Brake Troubles

Got a question for you guys....

The rear brake on my '03 ST13 is acting sort of funky. Sometimes it feels like there is absolutely no play when I push down on the pedal but then a few minutes later it feels like it almost goes all the way down to "floor". It doesn't feel like the brake is actually dragging on the rotor or binding up or anything, but the inconsistent feeling is a bit unnerving.

And ideas what might be wrong??

Can you give us a bit more history on your brakes. Last time the pads/brake fluid were changed. Have you been servicing them or do you get your service done by your mechanic.
