Rode today as always on a Sunday. Stopped for fuel and reset trip meter. Rode off and noticed my GiPro gear indicator was showing only a dash. Thought it was dead, even though only two months old, and looked at speed only to find my needle on zero. A friend said his speed sensor died, as in the one in the lower rear crankcase. Apparently a fairly tricky spot to get to and means RHS fairing needs removing to plug new one in..as they do to make things awkward. My trip meter and fuel usage indicators plus total mileage also remain static and not counting up. Anyone with that same experience? Welcome any advice before I get caught in a speed trap.
