YSS rear shock

Probably need a new rear shock, on my ST1100PP and was recommended YSS by a KAIS a local suspension specialist.

The issue with most of the after-market shocks is the lack of quick & easy adjustment of damping and pre-load for the varying payloads... (in this the OEM does seem the most convenient...)

I can buy a genuine shock for a 1996-2000 ( with the spring painted black ) for ?320 delivered.

Given the YSS will cost ?300, and its only ?20 cheaper What's my best option.

Front end is Police spec progressive forks with 10w and new seals.
