1.2 springs, 125mm-130mm oil depth, what weight oil did you end up using?
Tried the 7wt but it felt like the front end moved a little too quickly.
Thinking about going back and trying the OEM recommended 10wt oil with the heavier sonic springs?
What worked for you?

You basically have to do your math and aim for a range that you think will work for you. 1.2 Springs with 125mm and 7wt shouldn't have felt that loose, what preload did you have?

I notice you don't mention what your sag is set at. This can change how the front end feels.
I weight 175 and have .90 springs with 7wgt oil set at 135mm. My sag is set at 36mm. Front end tracks very well.

I think it depends on how smooth a ride you are looking for. If the springs are right for your weight and you have the correct preload and the sag is right, then the viscosity of the oil is gonna dictate how smooth the ride is. If you drop to a 7 wt. oil, the front end is gonna be a little more reactive and smooth out the bumps a little better. The thicker the oil, the harsher the ride will be. Some want to feel the road a little more and will up the oil viscosity. If the front has too much preload one it and then a thicker viscosity, then the ride may be too harsh. Preload and sag set right, then the 7 weight may be ok. The stock springs are a little softer than the sonic 1.2's.... that being said, making sure the dampers are functioning properly and then change the oil and see if you like the results.

With spacers cut to 125mm, and 7st. Oil at 125mms down, I had 35mm of rider sag. When I put in 135mms spacers, I had 32mms. I ended up with 130mms spacers, one 2mms washer, with 7 st oil and had 33mms riders sag.
