Well, I might not be able to wait any longer and the boss said she would not "tell me what to do".

So with Honda not updating the ST anytime soon or ever, I am looking at an FJR. This was my 2d choice when I bought my ST.

What are you guys paying for a new one?

Thx

Best bet is to go to Cycle Trader also look on Craigs List and then check the FJR Forums. The prices are all over the place. If you are willing to travel there are some good deals on lightly used/new Gen III 2013,14s, out there. Another one bites the dust and defects.;) With a trade in, it is hard to put a number down as The trade value slides. The more for the trade the more for the New bike. The less for the trade, the less for the New bike. I have seen new 2014s go for between 12K and 15k.

There's a 2014 ES model for $12,690 on cycle trader right now. Pretty cheap if you are going to keep it awhile.

I also suggest looking at BMW dealers that have taken the FJR's in trade....some really good prices as well. My friend grabbed a Super Tenere for 8K from a BMW dealer in GA. The dealer just wanted to move it.

I bought my 2014 A model in November, 2013 just as they were hitting the showrooms. Since it was the current model, I did not expect to find and "deals" but didn't care. I did shop around indicating I wanted to see flexibilty with the MSRP and ended up settling on a flat $15,000.00 ($15, 890.00 MSRP). 15,000 miles later, I couldn't be happier.

I know this thread is a couple of months old...but here in Indiana they are asking $11,999 for a new 2012 leftover FJR 1300A.

Picked up a 2012 FJR1300A this morning. A little over 14,000 miles, new PR3s and brakes, $9,995. Now I have 2 toys to play with!

Another dealer nearby had the identical bike, about the same miles, and would not drop from $10,995.

I've been watching prices on new ES models...tried to buy on a couple occasions but was 1 caller late. :doh1:

I saw a new 2015 ES go for $13.4K, better than any other price I've seen (CycleTrader, Craigslist, eBay) by almost $1000! I considered it, but passed as it was in WV and I had no time to Fly-n-ride a few weeks ago. My opinion, $14.2k is tops *I* would be willing to pay for a 2015 ES.

For a new 2014 ES, there was an awesome deal a month ago at $11k ... otherwise, I see an occasional new one at $11.9k.

When those spectacular deals are posted, they usually are snapped up within hours.

Congrats on your FJR. Hope it turns out to be a fun bike.
Thanks Jim.

i am having a good time so far. It seems so much lighter that the ST but I know it really isn't a lot. It definitely leans back towards it's sport bike heritage in the twisties! Now to add a few farkles and see .....

I let my brother in law ride it yesterday .... (he currently has a 1998 Concours 11) .... His basic response "WOW - I want one" !!
