I bought those older staintunes from another ST member a couple of years ago for $600. I feel it was money well spent.

Hankook V12 205-50-17 my third one---I got 2 shipped to me a while back for $75 each. This particular one is discontinued but Hankook makes a newer better version ?? just a bit more costly, I think shipped price is now @ $110

Did you have to make any modifications to the ST for tire clearance?

Just did mine with the new version Hankook, ( 04 with abs )... slid right in with plastic bag trick, more than 1/8" clearance on right side.

And yes, your tire looks fat! :)

How do you lean that bike and keep it right side up? Is that a car tire???
Yes, that's a car tire and running a car tire on a motorcycle is referred to as 'darkside'. Pretty common for guys who ride lots of miles on certain bikes... STs, Goldwings, FJRs, etc.

Double dark is a car tire on the rear and a rear mc tire on the front. Rear mc tires have more tread and thus last longer.
