For me the oem pads always worked best with good life.

EBC. Better braking than OEM and they last well. I've been running them for 80k+ miles.

I used to like the OEM pads too, until I tried a set of DP Brakes pads. Excellent feel, improved initial bite without being grabby, plus they are clean, quiet and easy on rotors. I've been using them for the last 45,000 miles and they still have about 30% of the pad left. I use them on my VFR and in the dirt as well, on my WR450.

Greg. I just bought front OEM pads to replace the previous OEM pads. I am at 48,000 miles and the rotors look good. I had the new fronts installed...feel great. They were not cheap. Just the parts (two sets of pads) were $90 total. But I just couldn't see risking success to try something else.

I'm using the OEM, as well. The aftermarket metallic pads may offer more bite, but the one time I tried them they were a bit grabby. (So much so that I removed them immediately.) Also, I prefer to have brake pads wear instead of brake rotors; cheaper and easier to change. The OEM brakes on my bike seem to provide plenty of stopping power. Honda may know what they're doing...

I use aftermarket oil filter, but for the pads:
When I got the bike I wasn't impressed with the braking, pads were worn anyway so I got some new OEM pads - from then on I'm very happy with braking.
Not sure what pads were on it when I bought it, but the OEM pads were completely satisfactory and I'd go that way again without hesitation.

OEM. Good blend of progressive lever feel, long wear, and disc wear. After 153,000 miles I still mike more than 60% of recommended disc thickness on the fronts. I had to replace the rear at 125,000 due to a sticky caliper otherwise I'm sure it would still be in service. I might have saved a few $ with aftermarket pads but discs are expensive.

My 93' has ebc with no issues. After reading several of these brake threads, I have a complete OE Honda set ready to install. Once again, no issues with ebc and rotor wear. I don't know what my 94' has on them?

Surprise that EBC didn't even get a vote. I like and still use EBC, front and back
I didn't vote yet.. but when I do, EBC HH for me.

Hauling the trailer I want maximum braking power. Haven't seen any evidence of faster wear on rotors. They feel great, nice and smooth. Really haul the bike down even with an extra couple hundred pounds pushing it from the tail.

Original rotors at 126k using ebc most of its life. That is with a fair amount of 2up and very hard riding.
