I recently started having a strange issue. I would notice that my windshield would appear to have been raised an inch or so without me knowingly raising it. I just figured that I must have bumped it each time it happened. Then I noticed that now I can raise and lower it as usual except now it stops about an inch or so from going all of the way down. Any ideas on what demons have invaded my windshield?

Where is it located on the bike & how do I get to it?
Limit switches are on the windshield mechanism and the relay is IIRC just to the right of the mechanism. The front cowl Tupperware has to come off.

Went my local dealer looking for the limit switch and relay & all they could pull up was the entire raising and lowering mechanism to the toon of $600 plus. What schematic should I look at to find the parts I need?

I would personally get in there and take a look at it before trying to buy anything. It might just be the lower limit switch has loosened up and isn't in the right spot anymore.

If it's working normally other than the lower limit, I'm guessing you can readjust that lower limit switch.

The relays are identical, swap them around to make sure it's not the relays.

You will have to go on line or to a Electronics store to find a limit switch that will work. Or maybe some one has a wrecked windshield mechanism that they can send you the limit switch harness or a switch. That is how I fixed mine. The switches get dirty. Soak them in some contact cleaner and see what happens.

Sounds like the switches ARE a part of the $600+ assembly. Thanks Honda!
