Checking out an 05' YZF 600 for the wife thoughts?

Found what looks like a decent deal on a 05' YZF 600. Asking $1750 with 32k on the clock. Anything I should look out for on a test ride. He said in the ad the carbs are dirty. I can handle that. Are there any inherent problems with this bike that anyone is aware of?

Any thoughts are appreciated. I am planning on teaching my wife and daughters how to ride using this. I know, a 600 is a lot of power for a beginner.

EDIT: That was a total pile of garbage. Not worth $700 IMHO The search continues......

That is really a shame. Those bikes were actually decent machines. They lacked the power of the newer "Hyper" 600s and they were a bit heavy but they were fairly comfortable. I came very close to buying one myself many years ago. It was used on the floor of the Honda dealer, a beautiful silver almost new. I was tempted.

I wound up buying a used '04 Honda ST1300 that was just a few bikes down from it. What a dumb move that was.
