I have an extended trip planned next week and my ignition switch failed, it was supposed to be in today but I was told it is on back order. I called every dealer and did dealer locators as well as websites such as partzilla. Has anyone bypassed the ignition with a temporary switch? I am doing forum and web searches and not finding any data. I suppose I could pull a schematic and figure it out but thought I would throw it out here.

Thank You
Bob

How did the switch fail? Is it possible that the contacts just need cleaning?

No, key wont turn, mechanical issue/lock problem. It looks like I could just connect the red constant power wire with the other three wires to power up the necessary circuits.

There used ro ba an article that told how to bypass the seitch and use three relays that you would control with an RF unit.

I'm mobile at the moment and careally search effectively, could someone?
