Here is another option for you Darkside riders on an ST 1300.

I searched all of the current tires out there and found this tire which looks like a good one as the sides are already slightly round.

I will keep you updated on my findings and mileage. It will get a break in ride on Monday as I am heading to NatSTOC.

Here are a couple of pictures of the tire.

what kind of clearance did you have when mounting this tire? All the reviews on this tire are excellent (on a car)

More clearance then the Pirelli tire on the drive shaft side. You are right on the reviews on this tire were great. Also the price was great at 98.00

thanks---keep us posted on how this wears and handles. I love my Hankook but the high speed wiggle is getting old on me.

That is a nice looking tire Mike. I look forward to the final mileage report. Maybe I was a little hasty picking up a spare Yoko Avid!

What happened to the Pirelli? You can't have that many miles on that one.

Over 2300 miles on this tire already and I am liking it. 28psi is working great.

Sounds like a very good tire. Does handle well at speed and how good is it holding up as for tread wear?

This tire handles very good at low speeds and triple digit speeds, I have over 5000 miles on this tire and it looks like new still.

Mike you very nearly have me converted...

I am very happy with this tire as the wear seems great so far, it handles well, and the cost was great.

I like this tire so much that they will be going on our Honda Accord when it needs tires.

Mike, after burning up my rear tire riding two up in 5000 miles, I'm taking your suggestion and will try the BFG. I've already switched the front to a Bridgestone BT45. I' hoping this setup will give me a good two years of service. I'll let you know how it works out for me.

On your recommendation alone, Mike, I just bought one of these and will be pairing it with a Pilot Active. I'll save my cupped BT-45 to reverse for next time.

I just pulled my rear wheel and although I haven't yet mounted this tire on the wheel, it doesn't even come close to fitting in there!
Are you sure it will squeeze down enough (about an inch) to fit in there when it's mounted?
