If anyone cares... I did take a belt sander to the side of the tire and now it's working. Only slight damage to the fender plastic.

Tire is stiffer than the Hankook. Have to work to lean the bike over. Going back and forth between my Yamaha FZ-07 and the ST1300 doesn't help.

Glad you got the problem taken care of.

What pressure are you running?
I'm down to 27 and it's still a bit too hard to corner with. Front tire is a Shinko 11 and it's still got a lot of tread. Hoping the 130 Battlax 45 will help. Not going to pull a good front off though.

Wish there was another narrower car size we could run.

Hankook V12 has always worked for me with good clearance

The Battlax made a tremendous difference. You won't believe it. Seriously.

Well...Maybe I'll pull the Shinko off the front. Got to order a 45 Battlax now. Cheapest place??
price changes a little now and then--google it. I don't care what anyone says, I have mounted both ways but backwards gave me best results

Ok Darksiders, I need your wisdom again. Which BF Goodrich Comp 2 do I get, the A/S or non-all season?
No actual experience with this tire, but for all weather travel, as I'm sure you are not a fair weather rider and get it all, you need the All-Season variety.

Good reading folks... I didn't like the GGTT on my Valkyrie but the mileage was awesome at 50K before I replaced it.
I just purchased a ST1300 and have another 1-2 K miles before switching out for a CT.
As it was said previously,,, If a bike will not accept the darkside, I'll not ride it.
Cheers

Ok I just replaced this BF Goodrich tire with another one after almost 25000 miles on it, the center had rubber left on it but like always I wear out the sides more than the center's. I ride mostly two lane twisty roads and I am not easy on my tires.

Here is a picture of the tire after putting 445 hard twisty miles yesterday.

Thinkin' seriously about going dark side. What do you guys do for balancing the tires - use the beads?
I suggest having Ride-On put in tires(front and rear). Most all bike shops carry it, and majority of bike shops recommend it instead of traditional weights. Can easily do it yourself.....purchase an 8oz. bottle, remove valve stem and squeeze in from the plastc bottle 40z. in each wheel, install valve stem and air tire up. Not only balances wheel/tire, but also eliminates a flat tire. Believe you can still Google the product for more info and video demonstration. Has worked fine for my bike for some 3yrs. now.
