I am in the planning stages of going to this race in 2017. This looks like a blast.
Has anyone attended the race!
The plan is to rent a bike, attend the race and tour Ireland for a week.
Any thoughts, comments and ideas would be appreciated.

I went in 2014 ..

The Ferry gets reserved fast and may already be full for the prime dates and times you want, so get on it !

Lots of private homes become B@B's for that event and also fill up well before race week.

Of course the highlight of the trip was riding the course..fun
I rode it a few times before the days of the race,
The day before the race is known as bloody Sunday ( ir maybe it is Bloody Monday ) as there is
little traffic enforcement going through the towns and NO enfor

There are many things to see on the Isle of Man..
The museums are free , the steam train and the electric train are fun and worth the money.

I rode the course several time before the race week.

The day before the races start is known as Bloody Sunday ( or Bloody Monday ) .

There is little traffic enforcement going through the many small villages and NONE
over the "mountain". People go fast there.
I was riding a Bandit 650 and was flat out going through sections at maybe 120/mph (indicated)
and was being blown away by people going maybe 150 or even faster .
It was a hoot, but be aware it's called bloody Sunday for a reason..d
Lots of riders should not have been riding ..
