I have to adjust the width, otherwise, it could be fat.
In the upper image the frontal view looks pretty OK (only the headlight edges need levelling), false tank and seat in the top view are indeed a tat wide...

Hi ST1100Y,
Thank you for your comment. Oh do you think so about frontal view? Usually there would be difference between real one and model.
I'll check it in first test model:)

Miz, The 5/8th scale 1923 Mack is fully functional. It drives and is a crane with 17" long crane poles. All lights and gearboxes work just like the original '23 Mack

Hi ToddC,
wow that's amazing... I envy such skill and environment for building a huge model like it.

Hi all.now I'm struggling making 3D data which I can modify. I mean that scanned 3D data could not be imported my 3d CAD soft,Fusion360. I decided to make 3D modeling of each parts by myself using scanned data as guideline.

Hello. I'm surviving.... As I mentioned, now I've changed the way of making 3D data with CAD software.
I'm learning 3D modeling from beginning. After one month I found Bike cowling is most difficult item for 3D modeling.
This is what I have done yesterday. More correction would be needed but I think I can fix it after printing.

Hi all,I've finished 3D CAD modeling of front cowling. Then move on to 3D printing.
The manufacturer told me it would be expected 9 hours to printing.

That's a beautiful start! I'm very impressed at your ambition, and perseverance. Thanks for sharing the process with us: it'll make the finished product all the more special for having seen the road needed to get there.

What he said! This is a very impressive endeavor and I'm grateful for the behind the scenes backstage pass.

Hi everyone! I appreciate your interest. I guess the printed body will come next week :)
I have to make rest of body. Tank and seat look very tough for modeling...pls give me a little more time.

Hello from far east.
Thanks ad1993 Pan,please don't worry turning lights parts would be made transparent originally.
Thanks Ozzy_ST1100,I can do my best to hear that.

I post the progress so far.
Still there is much to do,but I think I could get nice 3D surface between Dummy Tank and side panel.
Soooo much time I took to get the smooth connection between those two parts:eek::

Hello everyone! Thanks gmast1100!
Here comes very 1st test-shot of front fairing.
Overall it looks good. It came transparent originally but the manufacturer dyed it in black to stand out the detail.
I'll adjust the shape of side mirror to get more streamlined form.
The 3D printer uses inkjet-like heads to deposit resin with high accuracy.
Still you can see thin groove on the surface. The printing pitch is 0.02mm.
