Thought I'd grease the rear caliper slider pins, been having a bit of brake drag recently (new SMC on order just in case :)), torqued everything back up and noticed a couple of threads still showing on the main pin, is this correct?

Mine looks seated (note I've never had that bolt off).
It's hard to tell in your photo. Did you tighten it with a regular wrench until you felt it seat and then torque it?

The bolt on my caliper does not have a shoulder its more like a big grub bolt where the threads go right to the end of the bolt, it would be possible to screw the right size nut from one end and off the other.
