I have always ran Bridgestone and have tried the following rear:
G850 (good mileage @ 9700; seemingly a softer compound but had good feel and good wet performance)
Exedra Max (great mileage @ 13800; but never felt well planted and "squiggled" as it got closer to the wear bars)
BT-023 (best compromise in mileage @ 12300; good grip & feedback and felt stable all the way down to the wear bars)
T30-GT (The worst in mileage @ only 6,000. Will not buy this tire again despite good road feedback. Look at the tread difference between used & new)
The first the three was a mix of commuting and touring, the last commute only; all four tires have traveled the same road surface that I use for commuting. I ride by myself, no passenger; very disappointed in the T30-GT. The BT-023 is no longer available and I will try the Exedra Max again.
