Diagnostic Link and OBD-II

Does anyone know if the diagnostic connector uses standard OBD-II protocol and commands?

I have a good system that connects to a computer or tablet via USB and provides logging and data display that would be really follow to use. I can make an adapter cable to patch to the OBD plug from the Honda connector of the signals are compatible.

you're out of luck, as it is not OBD II compliant, rather it's a Honda proprietary system. EPA has not mandated OBD II compliance for motorcycles, at least not yet.

Thanks for the info. I assumed as much since there is no mention in the SM for anything but the Honda analyzer and no mention of protocols.

I wish they would adopt OBD, as diagnosing problems would sure be a lot easier. I have a problem with my '05 ST and not even the dealer has the Honda diagnostic equipment.
