Do I need to remove the knee pads that are inside (closer to the center of the bike) the little access panel or do they go right over top sticking to them?

Go to my website and you'll see some pictures (near the bottom os all the pictures) of the knee pads getting applied to the air deflectors.

Got them installed (minus the knee pads). Getting the 3M tape off is gonna take a while. Thanks for the quick answers.

Use a heat gun (but not too much) to remove the 3m tape, it works wonders!

Thanks I'll try that,

I need to get a heat gun (for many reasons). I also might end up having to re-sticky tape the left side deflector as it doesn't seem to be sticking on one spot which will be just awesome... I'm going out of town next week (with the bike), so hopefully the parts that stuck stay stuck. I'll have to tackle both of those projects after I get back.

Well the combination of the deflector and the wrap. I'm pretty happy! Took the long way from just outside Cincinnati to Columbus and I stayed quite comfortable. It was not hot out though. Started at 75? and go up to 80?

I have to say, that the combination of the wrap and deflectors have made riding the bike more enjoyable for me.. I'm working in Columbus 3 days a week through all of October. I've made the trip 3 times and then commuted locally on the bike. Of course, the weather has been quite a bit cooler, but I've not had any heat complaints.

The deflectors are a "good thing"!

Glad to hear you like them too....

The heat hasn't been an issue for me and I ride in 100 degree weather. For three years now.

Wrapping the headers was one of the smartest things I've done. I'm told there is a HP increase, but the reduced heat upwards is worth it.

I have to agree so far. It seems to have helped quite a bit. I read mixed results here, even some saying they thought the bike got hotter. Happy to report that didn't happen with my bike. :)
