I am a Honda customer since 2002. I owned :
- black widow 2002-2004
- vfr 800 ( 2 bikes ) 2004 -2008
- st 1300 2009 - today
- cbr 1000 rr 2008, 2012 and 2015 - today

although I am very happy with the support and service of Honda, today I have sold my st 1300 due to the lack of a replacement machine. The goldwing is too big for me, and the CTX 1300 lacks power.

accordingly, I have decided to buy a FJR 1300. I just made the advance payment, and, I am going to receive my new toy next week.I still believe that the ST1300 is a wonderful machine, but it is getting older and older, and my repair and maintenance bills are increasing every day.

I hope I will not regret that decision in the future.

I am going to switch to "fjr owners forum" , goodbye everybody, take care all.

Uh. Sure.

Just be aware that many of us no longer have Honda's (I owned four of them for many years, and now only own two Triumph's.)

We stay here because Joe (Mellow) provides free streaming Wednesday night karaoke.

p.s.--alcohol and earplugs are recommended! :D

Congratulations on the new ride, hang around here as nothing says you have to ride an ST to stay. Look at our leader he rides a Yamaha Super Tenere.

Yep, there's a TON of great non bike-specific info and general bike banter here. And the karaoke!

It's about the people here! Not the bike you ride. This is what drew me here, and why I'll stay even after my beloved ST retires (in a very long time, I hope).

No more Honda motos in my garage and this is still my favorite moto forum. Can't get rid of me just because I have a Kawasaki and a BMW...

Yeah but Raymond is the only one who lives anywhere close to Istanbul (he still thinks it's Constantinople so he's never found that tag). I think we need to continue this love fest on FJR Owners if anyone expects the OP to read their reply.

What repairs have increased so much?

everything started with a small vibration and air leakeage on the front tyre, then they discovered that the front wheel bearings were destroyed and they changed it, next day same thing for the back wheel bearings.

same day they discovered that there was a leakage from the back shock absorber, they repaired it, finally they discovered that there was a big amount of rust under the motorcycle due to the winter salt on the roads. then, I decided to sell it.

I don't think I'll leave here even when I put my ST1100 out to pasture. This is still by far the most pleasant forum on the innerweb. I was reminded of this yet again when trying to find out information about a recent cruise (ocean) I was getting ready to take. You'd think cruise forums would be full of nice mannered blue hairs but no... It took all of about 5 posts to a thread (about the on board nursery of all things) before it got nasty... over something completely unrelated to the thread topic! I cant speak for the FJR forum, but it would be hard to beat this one.
