Saw this before. Going way too fast in rain and probably hydroplaned. Worst thing he could have done after that was grab her helmet and pull on it like that. A neck injury could have paralyzed her by doing that. Plus, if the helmet moved that much on her it is too big.

From a learning perspective, why do you think they crashed?
It obviously was raining, and they were traveling at a high rate but neither of those conditions would cause that.

Right before the get off it looks like a different shade on the pavement. Deep water?

Going too fast, hydroplaned and lost control. Saw full video on another site. Very very lucky, heavy traffic just after they dropped it but they were not run over + ended up on shoulder vs. in live lane + wearing jeans waist down but water lubrication prevented road rash. If I were them I'd have bought a lottery ticket.

You can probably see better on full video but it seems to me that he just yanked throttle and with water and front wheel lifted...
i have to really control myself with the front brake, I have tendency to jam that think thou I know that it's dangerous.

I don't think her helmet fit very well. It also looked like he was holding on to her the entire way.

Don't need a video to tell how important ATGATT is. I can tell you from experience. Was hit from behind 2 years ago. Totaled everything-bike, camping trailer, and my gear. Slid 150 feet on my back. But thanks to ATGATT, I was able to walk away fairly ok, other than broken ribs and scaphoid. I have replaced the gear with the same as I had and wear it religiously!
