My first ride of 2016 was on my 1978 KZ650 C2.

Here is two good reasons why I was on the KZ instead of my ST.





Tire will be ordered next weekend. New rear brake pads I have on hand, but ordered another set anyway.

Life is good when you have a backup ride!!

Nice ride!

I took my first ride of 2016 Sunday evening after dinner. Was a spur of the moment idea, temps in the mid thirties and no traffic made for a fun ride, while seeing snow and Ice on the ground. Nothing huge, just a forty mile quickie, but a taste before the temps drop on Monday, and more snow comes in later in the week.

That bike looks and sounds good. Brings back old memories.

And it only has 138,000 + miles on it!

Took my first ride of the year yesterday. 151 miles, temp started around 48....up to 56 by the end. Sunny sky and tail wind both ways.

Good that U had a backup. Way to break in the New Year. Great time to order parts & Tires. LOL.
It was sunny and 55 here Fri./1st ! So got in a quick 150 miler! Awesome !

Tire came today.



But it is going to be awhile before I can get it back out on clear roads.
