Lifted the tank for airfilter change, and found two of these on the floor afterwards....
Where on the tank do they belong, anyone?

Can you post a side-pic? I think they are for the bottom lip of the tank where it touches the frame about 10 inches from the front on each side.

Yes those are the rubber that go between the tank and the frame, they do fall out on some ST's. I think mine have been out for some time now.

From an air filter replacement article, you can just see it on the left side of the pic, looks like thin side out:

Problem solved in less than 20 minutes.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why this forum exists!

I'd say you're still on cloud 9, being MOTY and all, BUT....that isn't your style. I bet you were out in your "man cave" making sure it's all set for the next visitors. Hey,
but then again I'd think you would have STowners.com streaming on the tote board above the door....sort of like the BAT signal! It's something you might want
to consider doing....now that you have the BEST campfire sitting area known to man.

To all....THANKS for helping our fellow STer out here. Like it's been said earlier....that's what makes this Forum ( and those in it) fantastic. This fix could have cost
1/4 hour labor at your local dealer :)

LOL... being retired, lunch comes at different times on some days. But, yeah... I stay busy doing something all the time. Been working on a project for a friend, and this project will take me the better part of the winter. Also doing some work in the house getting it ready for some new carpet. All I can say is the daylight doesn't last long enough in the winter! Hope all is well with you, Al.
