Here's an interesting point of discussion.

You're going through the Homer Tunnel (assuming you know of it and have maybe done it before)
Would you rather be up the front or at the rear and why?

I'll kick it off
From a safety point of view I think I would prefer coming up the rear.
. the cars would swish any surface water away, so follow their a tyre tracks
. their lights will illuminate the way clearly
. if anything goes wrong i.e. nose to tail or breakdown I wont end up the meat in steel sandwich, I can turn around and go back.
. getting the jump on the cars is a moot point as the first reaction on exiting is to stop and take in the serious view a couple of times and the cars will get a good head start
Have I missed anything

Re: Homer Tunnel front ot back

I had to google that. Very interesting place with history. My preference would be follow so I don't have a cager riding my tail light. I also like that the wet on the road could be spread out and any ice if there would be broken up.
