You're going through the Homer Tunnel (assuming you know of it and have maybe done it before)
Would you rather be up the front or at the rear and why?

From a safety point of view I think I would prefer coming up the rear.
. the cars would swish any surface water away, so follow their a tyre tracks
. their lights will illuminate the way clearly
. if anything goes wrong i.e. nose to tail or breakdown I wont end up the meat in steel sandwich, I can turn around and go back.
. getting the jump on the cars is a moot point as the first reaction on exiting is to stop and take in the serious view a couple of times and the cars will get a good head start
