Brake pedal removal.

I need to replace my brake pedal on my 1300. I have removed everything to get the step plate off but cannot get to the bolts that mount the SMC. At least that's what i think it is.Any tricks to get at those two bolts holding it to the plate? Thanks Peterz

I used a long ext and Rachet from the other side was not fun
