Double dark.... why does it work?

If you look at the pattern of a front tire compared to the back, the tread pattern flows in the opposite direction. They started to do this several years ago for better traction up front. In short part of the reason is rear tires require more traction on acceleration and front tires need more traction on braking... So jump to today and crazy riders (sarcasm) put rears on front so running it backwards replicates modern pattern of front tires...

I put it on the normal way and when it gets lumpy at about 12k miles I take it off and flip it over. I can't tell any difference in the traction in the rain.

Is that the BT-45 in 130-70-18 that you ran on the ST? I'm thinking about it as I get a lot of cupping pretty quick on the front.
