I love the hair in the front fender. Dang...nice job staying upright...it blew you up!!

One of my worst fears is the dam tree rats. Here in NE WA they are a real problem. I've killed two and a coyote with my cage in the last 3 years. I try not to ride at sunset or after........ As we call it...Deer thirty...

Hope you and the bike heal quickly....

After ten years of riding ST1300s, I've got them tuned in so well, I couldn't think of starting over and dialing in something else! (Actually it took me only a few years of the dialing part, now I just get to enjoy riding on something I am so familiar with that I feel like I'm part of the bike when riding! :)

Good luck with your hunt!

BTW, as long as the frame didn't break, I'm sure it is restorable.... ;)

From your list and wants, I'd go with a Tenere ES and not look back. TBH, the others you listed wouldn't even be on my radar... too expensive not reliable enough. Of course, I would also look closely at the FJR.

Sure glad you're OK. Real skill in staying up. Take your choices for a test ride and buy what you find enjoyable. BMW works out it's new model issues after a year or two and does a pretty good job at fixing them; there are a lot of old ones on the road. I see more and more forum members getting them. KTM fault rates aren't bad, I would say decent; see them all the time on tours. Suzuki is very good, lots of experience on this forum. The Triumph is good, Tom loves his. The Honda CrossTourer doesn't have cruise. So make your choice, post pictures, and enjoy.

thanks for a the well wishers . i am not even stiff or sore anymore. i am pretty sure that me keeping the bike up has more to do with my full/overtime guardian angle than my skills :bow1:
