103K on the 91. Problems 2 years ago on a trip. Have since done some wiring changes learned here, and is ok at the moment, but leaking a little oil.

99 is fine.

Mines leaking a bit of oil too. Makes me a bit nervous about a long trip if it's coming from the alternator.

My 1990 quit after 174K km but has had a transplant by the new owner with a 40amp conversion and we hope it goes for many more miles.

1999 40A alternator failed at 96K miles due to broken winding wire in the rotor. I have spare fields, diode bridge and voltage regulator

New life in your old horse now. The 40A I put in is putting out 14.2 V :) Yeah!

I wonder if anyone want the old 28A alternator with the drive gears?

Monday, while out riding, the original 28 amp on the two tone died. 105,000 miles.
100,000 on the Black (failing memory edit: I replaced the original alternator after it cracked so there is around 50,000 miles on this alternator) and it is going to need a connector repair.

150k miles on original 28 amp alternator, but I think it is giving up, started leaking about 5k ago. at idle test meter shows 14.2 volts at battery(so new battery fitted last one 5yrs old).I read somewhere that alternator only starts charging at 2000rpm mine show charging at idle?? now if I switch the headlights on the idle speed drops only use to happen when cooling fan kicked in. so looks like 40 amp up grade needed. unless somebody can point out an alternative solution
