OK. The new ST1500 will be released in Dec 2016. ABS, traction control, CC, TPMS, heated grips, RDL seat, full LED and lean sensitive lighting, electronic suspension, 6 spd. and nav. And it only weighs 500 lbs.

You heard it here first. ;)

You're in luck! The all new ST1400 will feature heated seats and hand grips, a more comfortable factory saddle, and better airflow management using wind tunnel tested methods.

Also, built-in features to include: tire pressure monitoring; satellite radio; and cruise control.

Arriving spring of 2018 or never. Ask about it at your dealer now! Watch for the     looks on their faces.

Honda already released their next ST. They are badged one of several ways, with these two being the most common: Yamaha FJR1300, BMW R1200RT.

Go Honda. :woo

Honda released the ST1440 in 2012. Didn't you see the thread on it?

BakerBoy pretty much summed it up. The FJR is everything an STxxxx could/should be (until a month ago, I'd been on Hondas since 1972).

It's OK. Just tell me Honda will soon release a new STxxxx. There is nothing else that interests me for long distance and long life.
Go get you a new 2012 from a dealer...just don't pay too much and FARKLE it how you want it and ride it for the next 300,000 miles!

What's so hard about that? :hat3:

Heh, funny yet somewhat depressing at the same time. How about... Don't worry Honda cares too much about the valuable ST market to let it slip away, they would never abandon their loyal ST fans, and they're just waiting for the right time to announce that new svelte STXXXX w. "lazers". :):(

If something happened to my ST and I needed to get a new bike it would be the ST1500. If not the 1500 it would be the 1400. And if not the 1400 it would be the 1300.

And I've been with Honda since 1972. It's not brand loyalty. Honda has always made a bike that I've been happy with. There was the dalliance with a Duc 750 but I still had a 740-4. There are a couple of bikes I'd like to have along with the ST but none instead of the ST. (Well until I can't ride an ST anymore.)

Hey! I just sorta did that! It was a "used" 2012 with 340 miles on it ... I have ordered the RDL, I have some power outlets to install, it came with bar risers, the highway pegs were just installed, I think it came with a Clear view (?) windscreen, the top box is sitting pretty ..... Now to figure out some heated grips and driving lights and I will be pretty close to Farkled!

(Of course, when the ST1500 comes out I might have to take a close look at it !)

Well that was fun. I have seriously considered a 2012 but I really do not want another black bike of any brand. I like the look but the magnification of dust and other pollutants is too much to keep after. I really liked my '91 silver ST in that regard but also I would prefer a lighter color for visibility, for those cagers that actually have their eyes on traffic. And I don't want to install a cruise control which is not negotiable on my next ride. I have taken for a test ride the 2015 FJR1300ES and it is impressive but I don't want to bend and reach for bars anymore (am I sounding OLD now?) and I'm tired of buying and fitting various items to make a bike fit me. The CTX1300 fit like a glove but no cruise, reduced fuel volume, reduced luggage volume. Not a proper long distance bike for me. If the F6B had abs, reverse (all available on the Aussie F6B) I could just add a windshield and second tank but there I go with fitting things I don't want to deal with. The ST really is closest to nirvana, just a bit more from our friends in Japan and they can take my money. I do hope they have not forgotten us.
