When depressing the brake pedal on my '07 1300 the light does not come on until it hits the full lowered position. Is there an adjuster for this or would it be a bad switch? What should I clean, check, or replace? Just a side note: The hand brake lever works normally in regards to the light actuation.

Excellent thanks for posting the PDF's fella's, so glad i looked in this section of the forum. I'm having the same issue, front brake lever operates brake lights as expected, rear brake lever does nothing. Hopefully it's just an adjustment and doesn't need a new brake switch.

cheers

Easy to do. The trick is to pull the switch up out of the hole it's in so you can turn the adjuster ring. Stumped me for a couple minutes when I did it.

Yep. Makes short work of an adjustment. I did this on all my bikes starting with my 750-4 to let me brake check anybody too close without actually slowing at all. Didn't bother on the ST because the extra brake lights are pretty effective.
