Yeah, the article is off by a few cc's, but the main thing is that a 77 yo and 75 yo, rode their ST1300 over 6,000 miles. I hope I can still ride at 77!

More remarkable, it looks like they did it on OEM seats!

All my miles are on an OEM seat. You guys are sissies!:D
Well, if I only rode a mile at a time, I could have used the OEM saddle too! :rofl1:

But if you really want to put on some miles, a RDL is the only way to travel! :D

Looks like it might be a Rick Mayers's saddle?

Before I changed to a Sargent even the stock one was good for two hours or 100 miles, like a long commute to work. Sargent has been good for at least 21.5 hours and countless 10-12 hour days.

I tried a Lamb, he couldn't get it high enough where my legs didn't have issues. I rode the stock saddle on my '05 for 1,200 in three days, back in 2006. After that, the only good thing to use the stock saddle for was when washing the bike! that last 600 miles of that trip in 2006 was sooooo bad! :butt1:

As an early rookie (to my bike) in 06....I made the yuge mistake of leaving the stock one on when leaving on an 8 dayer to the Pacific Northwest. With my Corbin in garage I figured I be on easy street with the soft stocker. WRONG ! I was sitting side saddle and pulling motel pillows to ease the rash I'd developed after four days. YIPES ! Have never put the stock one back on since.
Hurray for Jerry and Rose Marie ! You guys ROCK !
