Howdy !

I took advantage of a rainy day to change my brake fluid & bleed the system, then I changed the anti-freeze while all the fairing cowls were off.

Had a successful test ride then I noticed one of my "position lights" was out

Help !!! how do I get my hands on that socket to replace bulb ?
Manual says just pull out the socket. From the top I couldn't see or feel it.

Holy Moly

If you have the top off it is just a few more bolts and the headlight is in your hands.

FWIW - I replaced my position light bulbs yesterday. Had to remove the Inner Lower Cowl, both Inner Cowls, the Mirror Covers, then I removed the 4 philips screws and 2 of the bolts from the left Middle Cowl ( the right one later ), I left the rear most bolt by the engine guard in (but loosened).
Did not need to remove the Lower Cowls. I then pulled the Middle Cowl out in the mirror area enough to reach in to pull the rubber bulb socket out. Tight - but not too bad.

I used a Sylvania 2825LL (long life) 5w side marker bulb.
