Good Afternoon everyone,

I have been in the market for a good used ST and have come across a few in my area. One of which is a 2004 Pearl Coronado Blue with grey striping.
In all my searches I have not come across an ST with any color accents. The (Second) owner believes it is factory.
I have not seen the bike in person. The bike is priced well and I am considering taking a look at it.

My question is, did Honda have any Factory paint options? Any light on the subject would be great. Photos are attached and ad hyperlinked.

No factory options but that bike looks familiar. With so few around the bike might be recognized by a previous owner or riding mate here.

Nope, never been a 2 tone st1300 that I'm aware of from the factory, also the knee/tank pads are installed on the saddlebags.. some have done that to keep the passengers from scraping the bags.

I kind of like those pads though I had not thought of doing it there. Seems like I hit the bags with my shoes often when crossing over the bike. Probably a symptom of getting old and fat.

+1 on scuffing up the bags,, getting on and off. Once I touch mine up,,, I am considering getting some 3M clear guard film on them. The stripes are both custom,, and interesting. I like the lower one. Cat'

The color scheme reminds me of my V65 Sabre. I wonder if the gray is reflective in headlights or just paint. Those aren't them but I think Bike Quip had some reflective trim accents for the front and sides of the fairing.

Looks like a nice bike with some very desirable farkles. The price is in the right ballpark. Two months ago I paid $4900 for a 2004 ABS with 33k miles and a different set of nice farkles (Sargent seat, bar risers with RAM mount, power outlet by left side glove box, Throttlemeister, passenger backrest). No two-tone paint though. :) I don't think you would regret the purchase.

+1, I have never seen a stock two-tone paint scheme on an ST1300. Don't know if the tank pads on the saddle bags would do me any good, as I often manage to scuff the top of the RH bag with my boot heel when boarding the bike, sometimes even manage to do that if the bike is parked in the garage on the CS. I can see where those pads would decrease the likelihood of boot prints from the passenger though. The pads in the pix on the top of the bags near the front of them might help me get my size 12 boots over the bags without scuffing the paint.

Thanks for the info all. I will be taking a look at it within the next few days. I will be happy to take some close-ups of the paint and give a little feedback on the quality.
