Russell seat

hi everybody just a quick ask very interested in a Russell day long seat .the cost of the seat is not a problem but living in the uk the import tax doubles the price . any uk members have any experience with importing stuff from the good old us of a or know off a uk seat manufacturer as good . i had seen somewhere that if you send Russell your seat they post it back as a repair so as not to pay tax don't know how true that is thanks

FWIW, it is 'technically' a repair since they rebuild it on your stock pan so it is not a 'new' seat. And stock seat certainly needs a 'repair'! I just did a ride in back in July to have my 14 year old Russell rebuild (had 200,000+ miles on it). Best money I've ever spent on my Pans! Good luck and hope it works out for you.

Does the import tax remain the same whether you get the saddle from the USA or Canada? How about if it is used? Surely you can read between the lines.....
