If I am lucky enough to find a set of used blades, at 6 foot tall with a 35" inseam will I like the Gen 1 blades or should I bite the bullet and get the Gen 2 ?

Also, I know there is a positional difference between the Gen 1 and Gen 2 but does it look like the Gen 2 cutout in the plastic is not quite as nice as Gen 1 ?

I tried them, also 35" inseam, neither worked for me. Too cramped. Looks nice, but not as comfortable as I wanted.

34 inch inseam here. The gen 2 are your only chance. Anything helps for a change of leg positioning for a while.

34" inseam and the Gen 1 worked for me... did get a chance to sit on an ST with the Gen 2 and they were ok... the cutout in the cover isn't as nice due to the blade being positioned a little further forward...

I've had the Gen I blades for years (actually have two sets) They are great for long rides. Even if you just use one side at a time (due to long legs).

FOOTREST.jpg I had Gen 1's and I reworked them. One to let them swing forward, and added a sliding extension. When not in use it all fit in the side. i rest my legs on top.

I know this thread is really old but wondering if you still have 2 sets of highway blades and would want to sell a set. Thanks. Ben

If you notice my Signature, I also have two bikes (running - three not running), so yes, I have two of everything and no, they won't be up for sale anytime soon! ;)
