glad that it had "gotten deeper than it needs to have gotten."
+1! Even when such a discussion may make absolutely no difference in what I do it's really interesting to get below the nuts and bolts.

Beats the heck outta 'Silicates rule!' and 'I don't care what anybody says... Lips that touch silicates will never touch mine!' diatribe. I will say the MSEE/MSME took 'measuring' in a different direction! Thanks for a great discussion guys.

Just thought I'd also throw this out, just for S&G's.

That $5 a gallon pre-mixed antifreeze I purchased last year ( close out price at the end of last winter ) is "Rugged Gold " brand made by Colorado Petroleum in Denver. Who the heck ever heard of that brand ?? Must be made by some kind of third-rate company ??

Here is the link "Rugged Gold Antifreeze". Need 55 or 275 gallons ??

But now check out a link to the list of Colorado Petroleum's " Partners "

Not exactly a third-rate company !! So what is the "take away " here ? I would say it demonstrates not all companies ( may even "most" don't ) actually manufacturer the products they sell.
