They are 2nd Gen. the third Gen are the latest versionThey look like the gen 1 Heli bars that came on my second ST..They could be gen 2 but they are Heli bars.
Not that I'm aware of. Why do you need a new cover plate? You can polish it up or paint it, you know? Thanks for the help! Now I just have to see if helibar sells just the cover plate.
I want to mount my phone down there so I want the cover with the premounted ram ball. I sent an email to helibar but they no longer carry plates for the gen 2s. I am going to see if the mcl plate is compatible, if not I will have to figure out a way to drill it myself. Not that I'm aware of. Why do you need a new cover plate? Just drill and tap it, it's not that hard. Really!I want to mount my phone down there so I want the cover with the premounted ram ball. A few years ago, I purchased a MCL cover plate for a Helibar Gen 2 riser; it fit perfectly. That's not surprising because it appears that MCL simply copies whatever Tour Performance produces.I want to mount my phone down there so I want the cover with the premounted ram ball. I have the same on my 2004 and have seen others. I used to wonder the same but now know the two threaded holes are stock, but what was meant to use them in wish I knew?I have the exact same riser on my 2004 (from previous owner) with the exception that it is tapped for a mount, which I don't have (yet). Not sure if it was drilled/tapped by the prior owner or if it came that way but it was nicely done.
Tapped where? Pictures?I have the same on my 2004 and have seen others. I used to wonder the same but now know the two threaded holes are stock, but what was meant to use them in wish I knew?
Would it be the two holes that are used to mount the 'cap' or bridge that holds the optional RAM ball and/or 12V or powerless port?but now know the two threaded holes are stock, but what was meant to use them in wish I knew?
Excellent...although a day late and a dollar short....HELI risers.
