Looking for recommendations for a throttle lock for my 95 ST1100. What is the best option?
Whatever works best for you. I use a Go-Cruise and used it just today. What is the best option?
Interesting. I hadn't heard about that option: http://www.atlasthrottlelock.comI have the Atlas throttle lock on my st1300. Its a bit pricey (115), but holds speed really well for hours, especially on flat roads and some what hilly roads.
Here's the AudioVox CCS-100 cruise control kit: http://www.murphskits.com/product_info.php?cPath=25&products_id=422.... What I'd really like to install is the third item you mentioned (audiovox) or rostra. I'd like to bring this up as a tech event item next year and see if someone can help me with the installation. That should really make my ST a complete tourer.
Behind the mirror in the front fairing. A few articles in the ST1300 mod section. Try this one.I haven't figured out where (inside an ST1300 fairing) people put all the hardware required for a real cruise control yet....
<WHEW!!>Try this one.
You have probably considered this already but have you tried 'spraying' some powdered graphite at the ends of the twist grip at the switch block and bar end weight. I had a similar experience to you the graphite lubricated the ends of the grip and it returned normally.Just installed a Vista-Cruise last weekend on my 2003 ST1100P. I'm having all kinds of problems with it, but it's not the products fault... it's the lack of tension on my throttle return spring that has given me problems since I got this bike. Very frustrating.
I also had the Vista-Cruise on my CB750k years ago, and worked very well for me.
