Now that I've owned the Silver Streaker for a few thousand miles, I want to keep her as my main bike for many years to come. I've decided I'd like to alter my seating position a tad by being able to sit a bit more back and upright. The Corbin Canyon seat is a nice upgrade, but all it really does is mimic the stock seating position while heating my butt nicely. Sometimes too nicely.

Experimenting on seating position the last few rides gave me the revelation that, if the handlebars were about 1-1/2 inches closer to me I would be in ergonomic nirvana. I already have a riser on the stock bars and I really like the height they are at.

Does anyone have experience with these bars? Are there other options out there that can do what these do? I'm a furniture builder, not a greasy monkey so the work will be done at my local shop.

Thanks for looking!

I have the heli bars gen 3 and they have many configurations to suit anyone. Have a look at them.

I have the horizon. Sit you back and still can carve corners. Much adjustability. I can take pictures if you want me to and post here.

With about 20,000 miles with them, some 18 hour days, I can tell you I will never own a touring bike without them. I absolutely love them.

Some pics would be great. I see they cost around $575... is that about what you paid?
Yes, and I put them on myself. If you only change oil and don't have much mechanical skills may not want to do it yourself. Saying that if you are intelligent enough to follow their great instructions with pictures and take your time you should be fine20161118_111752.jpg20161118_111816.jpg20161118_111823.jpg20161118_111837.jpg20161118_111846.jpg20161118_111852_001.jpg20161118_112001.jpg20161118_112022.jpg20161118_112028.jpg20161118_112041.jpg
Here you can see the horizontal adjustment marks on both grips and the view of the dash.20161118_112201.jpg20161118_112207.jpg
Hope this helps someone.

Thanks for the pics. There is a wealth of information in them. I live in lake zurich, il, maybe we can hook up next year somewheres in the middle and actually see how they look on the bike.

No problem. I can guide you on a nice day ride towards Galena or Baraboo Wisconsin

Great pics! The Helibars Gen 3 riser is good enough for me but it's nice to finally see the Horizons close up and personal sorta.

There's a lot to them but the execution is very nicely done. When I got my Gen 3 my GoldWing buddy was highly impressed at the quality of the riser. Maybe he was expecting some sand cast block. Don't know. But there's no doubt the Horizons are a class act.

The only problem with them is when you want to do some maintenance and need to lift the tank. So all I did was get a permanent marker and mark the bar and the clamp on both sides. Loosen up the 4 cap screws and rotate them up and all clear now. When done rotate back and tighten when aligned with the marks. Then use price remover to clean off the marker.

Well, I pulled the trigger and got them online for $485. Local dealer put them on for me, glad he did as the existing heated grips were a bear to remove. What a difference! These bars are superb. thanks for all the input.

Scott, Are you coming to Uncle Phil's RTE in Mansfield, Ohio? I'd like to see these if you will be there.
