Had the bike out for a few trips now and the RDL does feel comfortable. I was out for about 3 hrs on one ride with a few short stops and all was good. My back wasn't more sore than normal!
I notice the seat is taller , I try to scoot ahead a little when stopping at lights. No problems though. I also seem to notice that because I'm sitting higher, I feel like my hands are pressing down on the handle bar grips. Seems like I have more weight there now. I'll probably get used to it. I already have the heli-risers too.
Thanks to this forum for making me aware of that seat option and all the great feedback on just how good the RDL seat was!
