Fuel breather hose T-piece

Hopefully a quickie - where does the T-piece on the fuel breather hose connect to??? (Hose originating at the fuel filler cap)

Searching whilst rebuilding my '95 but can't see where it connects, must be missing something obvious.

It doesn't connect to anything. WOTL over the years is that it vents to ambient air as a backup to the end of the tube.
