Are you darksiding an 1100 or 1300? For the 1100, you have to swap to a GL1500 wheel, with new spacers and modified rear brake hanger. With a 1300, it's a simple tire change.

I've been running a Falken for a couple of years. I think you can read size and model on label. I had to slightly grind the swingarm.

My Goodyear triple tread took minimal shaving of the swingarm. I installed a BFG on a friends bike and it required a lot more shaving. We are both very happy with milage and performance of our car tires. A car tire does have particular ride qualities about them but once you get use to those it's all good. 970 Mike has done extensive milage with different car tires, I believe he is on his 4th one.

I've got a Pirelli P6. It's got a real 1/4" swingarm clearance. P205/50R17XL 90H Also has a more rounded profile. Started with .340 tread depth. I've got just shy of 18k miles and still has .178" I run 30-32 psi.

This is my latest version of what I am calling DarksideTires. I have combed through the Walmart webpages to find all of the 205/50/17 tires. I'm sure that I missed a few but for a start there appears to be a few options. I sorted the data my manufacturer...added Brand, Tire Name, Load rating, Season, Speed rating, Height after mounting on a car rim, Width after mounting on a car rim and finally Wally World price. I hope this helps someone. Feel free to use the data anyway you wish. If you find any tires that you think should be added.....just respond back.
